Your decision would depend mainly on your budget and your personal needs. It’s hard to choose when there are too many options.

We’re giving you a list of the five different types of mattresses you can choose from.

Foam mattress

The most common mattress we know today is the foam mattress. They are cost-effective alternatives to more expensive mattresses made of more expensive materials. Foam mattresses cover the entire bed frame. There are memory foams, latex foams, gel foams, and solid foams.

You need to look at the different materials that are available to make a wise purchase decision.

Memory-Foam Mattress

Memory foam was developed for NASA in the 1970s. They wanted a material that would improve seat cushioning and crash protection for pilots and passengers. Use of the material soon spread after the project proved to be very successful.

Also known as Visco Elastic foam, memory foam conforms to your body and disperses your weight evenly throughout the bed. This is great if you have achy joints, morning pains, or if you move a lot in your sleep.

Because it reacts to temperature, they tend to be warmer than most mattresses. Recent innovations, however, have improved air circulation in memory foam mattresses. Memory foam is also resistant to mold, bacteria, bed bugs, dust mites and many types of allergens.

Innerspring Mattress

This type of mattress is one of the oldest and most popular types. Using a variety of steel coil support systems, these are connected into a single unit to construct durable mattresses. This results in a comfortable sleeping experience. Recent improvements have made innerspring mattresses stronger and more comfortable.

Some mattresses have springs with thinner coils, which result in bouncier mattresses, while those with thicker coils are firmer. Choose the type that is most comfortable for you.

Hybrid mattresses

Hybrid mattresses combine the features of different types of mattresses for a comfortable, optimized sleeping experience. The most common combination is an innerspring mattress with memory foam on top, creating a shapely mattress that provides the comfort of memory foam.

Once you’ve reviewed your options and considered the different types of mattresses, you can head to your nearest EMCOR store and find the right one for you.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
