[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”36789″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Karaoke is present in every Filipino celebration. It’s a great pastime no matter who you’re with. Whether it’s family reunions or just getting together with friends, everyone is excited to grab the mic and just sing.
Karaoke is a good, inexpensive way to spend time with your family and friends. Karaoke kiosks cost 5 pesos a song. You can come to a KTV place and rent a room for as long as you like. With the privacy of a KTV room, you can sing your heart out and enjoy some food as well. Some would even rent an entire karaoke machine so they can sing as many songs as they want for a whole day.
At home, karaoke sessions are very accessible. Just grab your karaoke machine or DVD player and plug it in the TV. Many CD or DVD players come with a free karaoke CD that you can use and microphones are not that expensive either. Another option to enjoy home karaoke is to use a media cable or a flash drive. Download karaoke lyric videos of your favorite songs from the internet and use your TV as a screen or transfer it to a flash drive then plug it in. Of course, this option doesn’t show you a score, but it’s still just as fun.
With the karaoke, you can pretend to be a star and show off your vocal prowess even in the comfort of your own home. Many Filipinos also dream of becoming popular singers and use it as a training ground or an opportunity to play pretend. It’s also a great way of socializing with people. Finally, karaoke can be enjoyed by anyone at any age. You don’t have to be a good singer. It’s all about having fun!
